-WHO WE ARE

A neutral, community-managed humanitarian organization

Women Initiative for Society Empowerment (WISE) is a Somali relief, emergency, development and advocacy organization committed to supporting vulnerable communities — with particular emphasis on women and girls, recognizing their specific vulnerabilities, strengths and needs during conflict, displacement, disasters and recovery.

We combine humanitarian assistance, protection, livelihoods, health, education, WASH, peacebuilding and resilience-building through a community-managed, multi-sectoral and integrated approach — moving communities from immediate need toward sustainable solutions.
